As of 2008, 99% of the raw material we use to create out work can now be purchased as 100% recycled material. What exactly does this mean? It means we do not purchase any newly mined material. This decision comes from a desire to help support sutainable business practices and no longer support the mines that do tremendous damage to our earth. It also parrallels with our interest in working with other companies that are interested in sustainable business practices. We have also switched over to packaging that is 100% recycled cardboard boxes (made with 77% post-consumer fiber and 23% pre-consumer fiber) and are covered with recycled paper. As we need new marketing material, we have switched over to recycled materials and eco-friendly printing. In addition, we have spent years building relationships with gem dealers that are very selective in their inventory. Thus, we can now offer fair trade gem stones and conflict-free diamonds.
